Hello to all and thanks for a great website! New guy here looking for some information. Recently got one of those "too good to pass up deals" on an 83 cordoba. Yes, I'm aware it's a j body but I'm trying to rebuild the front end and give it a much needed alignment and the only replacement alignment cam bolts I can locate are for b bodies and if anyone more knowledgeable than myself knows if they will interchange I'd really appreciate any help.
Thanks to everyone and keep up the good work
Don

I see 36 responses and wished I knew what to say. Have you checked the FMJ forum ? They are tied in with FBBO and FABO.

Send James @ PST a pm. They are a sponsor of this site and should be able to help you out.

[SUB][/SUB]The 73+ B, R, F, M & J bodies do not use eccentric cam bolts like the 72- B and A bodies!

My deepest thanks to all and especially Kernal Sanders! Definitely a few mixed emotions. Never knew I could feel so grateful and so foolish at the same time lol. This is my first 80's car I've played with and I guess my brain is stuck in the 60's. Thanks again for all the help!

No problem
When you go to replace the upper bushings just burn the old rubber out with a torch and the 'bar' will come out easier. I replaced the bushings with the PST poly inserts so I didn't have to remove the original bushing shells.

There are slight differences in the bushing dimensions between the 73+B & R body upper control arm bushings and the F, M & J body upper control arm bushings. When I was researching I started a thread on the forfmjbodiesonly site and ended up answering my own question about the two bushing differences:

I also did find out that for all these years and body's, the complete upper control arm assemblies will all interchange (bolt right up) however modification/relocation to the shock mounting hole is required.

Oh! here is a link to all the Moog bushing numbers:

Hope all this info helps you and anyone else
