All I wanted to do was hop up her Camaro a little.

You remember I told you my daughter ran her first 1/8th drag races this fall. That was the very end of the season. She REALLY liked it and really liked the fact she beat a 4th gen Camaro with a V6. Her 1981 Transformer clone Camaro has some day 2 350 from who knows where. It could spin the tires a bit on a power brake launch.

I know I know this is a Mopar site but I still think this is interesting.

We found this guy on the internet in Denver that was cleaning out his shed. Turns out it's a rich guy with a metal building with 6 garage doors with crazy cool stuff and he is getting rid of some stuff. So we think. WTF lets punch up Kylie's 350 a bit. The first thing we bought were a set of rebuilt 461 fuelie heads with 1965 date codes. Should put her compression ratio from 8.5:1 to 11:1. Then I got a vintage Eldebrock Cross-Ram Intake with two Holley 650 center squirters with chrome air cleaners just because it was so beautiful.

Then I got home and started thinking I should have bought more. So I go up and buy a 350 4 bolt main builder motor from 1972 for $100. Now today I'm headed up to buy some Ross forged pistons and an intake. Pistons $100, new they go for $125 each. Intake for $50. Then he's going to start selling BBC stuff. I can't even begin to tell you all the things he has for that! And we have a BBC in the Pontiac GTO race car. Holy Molley!

There's no way to put this stuff on Kylie's motor. She would have 13:1 compression and have to run 7,500 RPMs. I'm going to have to sell the heads and cross ram. It's just too much. Oh, and a friend has a new rear end with better gears and a posi for $300.

your life will be a lot easier IF you stay away from the cross ram intake. 1 carb is always easier to tune

It's just so pretty.
I had an STR15. I had it bead blasted and clear coated. It was so pretty I left it on the coffee table, put an ashtray in one side and used the other for a cup holder. They look better than they perform.
