Hi all, having ascertained that my wiper motor is not working and rebuild costs and shipping to the UK prohibitive, is there any way of fitting an alternative motor from a let Mopar, I’ve found 3 speed C body motors at a better price. ive read multiple threads on this but somehow not found the one reply that says, yes, do this and this.
I rarely use wipers and only want basic function, frankly a one speed wiper on/off would suffice. It’s the last part of my project that’s holding me up.

contact Bruce Sommer he rebuilds wiper motors and gives good advice

Here is a write up I did to adapt a 1st gen dakota motor to my 67. You may need to modify it according to whats available in your region when it comes to the wiper linkage bars. https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/wiper-motor-alternative.197393/#post-911619410
Thanks, I did read your report previously and it looks good. Problem is that here in the UK there are no yards to pull parts from, so although I could order the motor through Roackauto there’s almost zero chan e if finding the connecting arms over here .

I would think you need wipers more than air conditioning. Are your pivots freed up? PM me about wiper motors, should be able to help.

My windshield wiper motor was bad so I don't want to install anything under dash until I replace motor. And the price they want for wiper motor (ridiculous) - see some for 300, 400 and up to 800 for the "show quality" shiny ones (did I already say ridiculous). I did find the same motor I believe for a 73 Fury from Summit for 60

but they don't have any. Did find one in the country (Denver) from Carquest for 80, but it's better that 400.
Every-time I buy parts for a mopar I feel like I'm being robbed. But if you look around you can save some.
