I will use the KB 240 pistons so I should be near 9.1 compression.
the heads { 452s } will just get a basic valve job no porting & a set of new stock springs and push rods,

Eddy performer Intake and 750 eddy carb
pertronix ignition & headers,

My brother told me comp cams has a cam & lifters that is pretty close to the 440mag / 440 six pack cam specs I would like to use with a new chain and gear set
my goal is 350 to 375 HP with a pretty smooth idle for my stock convertor.

do you guys think that set up will make 350hp ?
Thanks for any input or advice.

i've used the comp cams magnum replacement, #21-305-4. good torque. the summit 6401 is a good cam too. the mopar 272-.455 would be good.

Thanks again for the part #s and info lewtot184.
my old 383 has a little rattle in the bottom end. its a 1965 2bbl model with the 516 heads
I have all the bolt on parts on it right now 750 eddy ect.
Im going to rebuild this 400 and switch the after market parts over to it.

Thanks IQ52, Pretty interesting link and results even with the low compression pistons.

We drive our 67 a lot of miles each year, lots of road trips ect. So my goal was a pretty stock engine with good street / in traffic manners but with enough HP Its still fun to kick it in the butt.
Our rear diff has the tried and true 3:23 sure grip so I want to keep the power more to the low end
Thanks again guys.

As far as the ports go, the very minimum I do on any head are the bowls (valve pockets) and make sure the ports match. The factory bowls really suck. If do nothing else to the ports, at least do this.
