I'm looking at two different ideas for the seats in my 69 Charger. The Procar/Scat option looks good initially but it sounds like their adapters/brackets for the B-body are essentially useless.

The other option I'm looking at would mounting the factory brackets/sliders and fabbing something to make the aftermarket seat mount to the OEM rails.

I'm comfortable with fabbing whatever it takes but I was curious if anyone had any experience on which method would require the least amount of work but still be safe/effective.

    Thanks,

    -Dave

I put the Scat Rally seat brackets in my 65 Belvedere without much drama?

That looks promising....I saw a few reviews stating they had to be cut and welded back up.

I used 3 of the supplied floor brackets and a solid chunk of steel for the forth to get the seats as low as possible. Just level the car and shim seat mounts to level and measure and cut the adapter brackets to fit. Then weld. I did cut one of the slots off the slider mechanism for lowering purposes.

I install a set of Audi TT seats in a GM. If I recall they were all flat and even across the bottom where they mounted. I loved the way they felt. Black plastic on the seat sides to hold the bolsters from rolling flat.

Same here. Seats mounted up fine. I had a mechanic/body shop guy I know install them because of time constraints, so I can't provide much detail except that I used the Scat "universal" brackets with their Procar seats. Looks like the one in the picture quoted.
