With the kids growing up fast we decided to get back into boating and sold the Sea Ray and bought a Bennington Tritoon. Loving the added room, performance is quite impressive as well. Between being a great swim deck and having plenty of power it's providing a lot of enjoyment during such a crappy year.

I also bought my boat this spring. An older (1992) 18.5 ' Checkmate with a 5.7 V8 in it.Great purchase with all the warm sunny weather and everything closed. Glad you are also enjoying the water as well! What does it have for a motor on it?

It has a 115hp Mercury. I wanted a 150 but it was a trade-off seeing how I'd have to go bigger on the Pontoon in order to get the 150 rating. I didn't want to go to big and be pulling a barge down the freeway plus keeping it reasonably sized I figured it would maneuver a bit better for tubing. All in all I did well, got it for a good price and it pulls my brother out on one ski, pulls nice with little effort and seats 11. I'm really impressed with it, our Sea Ray beat you to death if the lake was rough but these knife like toons cut through everything and with the 3rd toon it doesn't sit deep in the water making it plain out much quicker.

Looks like whoever had yours took care of it, nice boat.

Yea I got it from my buddy and he had it since it was 7 years old. He was more **** than me which is hard to believe but yes its very very nice for its age. I love the toon idea for family/space and once I grow up (HAHA!) I will probably graduate to something of that style as well. Those new toons haul the mail and are very very spacious. Looks like you scored a really nice boat. I have been doing alot of inland lakes so the water is alot smoother than Lake Erie, especially on the Buffalo side where its rough alot of the time from the winds coming across the lake.

Now this, is a pontoon boat....

Hell yes!!! Manitou was my #1 pick with their patented V Tritoon design but I refuse to pay $$$$$$ for something I can only use 5 months out of the year. I looked high and low for a good used one but apparently people like them because I couldn't find anything close to what I wanted used. They had one close to the one in the video at a nearby Marina (I think twin 150's), $120,000!!!

I found a nice (slightly) used 21' Manitou 2 years ago with a 150 Suzuki on it. It's a very nice boat!

At least this time around I learned to stay completely away from any I/O's lol.

PArty barge!

Speaking of boats, a friend found one of these. A I/O with a 340 under the cover. His is in pretty good shape but needs restored. It looked like this new. Cool Chrysler Marine!
