Any pics of b body with 18” or bigger wheels ?

Just a mock up at this point. Gravity will tell.

Front 17 x 8 wheels, 245 / 45 / 17 tires
Rear 18 x 10 wheels, 285 / 40 / 18 tires

With runs and tires set out that wide, I’d expect rear tire rub on the outer wheel tub.
I had that problem but modified the tubs in both of my cars for more clearance.

no rubbing on the rear at all and no modifications to the body. The front rubs the fender slightly only when backing up and turning right.

I'm liking all those but I think 8's are an inch too wide on the front. 7's would still look good with zero issues.

Runner 68 ... what make are those wheels?

I'm liking this size tire ... a little taller to fit the opening and a little wider as well

You will rub if your suspension moves enough. All B body cars used a weird outer wheel tub that has a bulge that intrudes into the wheelhouse. It is behind centerline.
I had a 28” 295-45-18 and it rubbed. I reshaped the tubs and after that, I only got light contact with passengers and a full tank. Now I switched to a 295-35-18 so I should have another inch of clearance.

Just getting back on the floor, I’m pretty happy with it. Lots of work to do but feels good to finally see some progress.

American Racing 18s with 295s (not sure why I want thinking Rocket). Very spendy...

Sorry for the slow response Gkent. I haven't been on here a while.

18’s rear (295/45)
17’s front and I forget the size tires.
Wheels are Coy’s c57.

I hate being “one of those people” but you have to be pretty silly to post up in a thread in the restomod section of the forum and complain about larger than stock wheels. It’s the pro touring restomod sub forum.

Yeah… that is like seeing traffic up ahead with detours on each side of the road, then driving straight while complaining about the traffic.
