very good , they had nothing until the M26 Pershing. the Sherman was a stand in , all they had !
 


Very cool video of the tank dual. Great breakdown frame by frame of the dual between the Tiger and the Sherman and then the Pershing against the Tiger. The Pershing was the only tank that could really take on the Tigers.
 
Not a tank, but the first APC - the Mark IX "Pig" ...built for troop transport in 1918. With room for 30 infantry, or ten tons of cargo, just three were completed before the war ended. The 'IC' on the colour picture taken at The Tank Museum in Bovington stood for 'Infantry Carrier'. Production and use continued after the war, 34 or so were built.
