So, we were going to visit my mother in St Augustine for Thanksgiving. Then, last week, Michelle's brother passed unexpectedly. So now, what was supposed to be a Grand-Cherokee-to-mom's-house trip has turned into cap-on-the-Cummins-and-a-24'-trailer trip to both St Augustine to see mom, and Ocala to work on clearing house. Fortunately we already had house sitters lined up...

Disclaimer: I am NOT a "shipper". I'm a guy with a Cummins and a trailer who's trying to avoid an empty run to Florida if possible, to try and cover some fuel costs and possibly help someone out in the process.

We're headed empty from Maryland (Frederick/Hagerstown/Gettysburg area), down 95 to St Augustine early next week (Monday? Tuesday? Depends when Michelle can get off work). Taking my '01 Cummins 24v, with her boss' 24' enclosed trailer (he owns the RV dealer and said "you're taking Joe's silver diesel? Don't take your 6x12...take my 24 foot enclosed").

If you've been trying to figure out how to get something from the mid-atlantic to FL...send me a PM and let's see what we can come up with. Like I said, I just put the cap on the 8' truck bed and the trailer will be empty as well (except for 2 mountain bikes I'm taking down to mom's to stay). All OUR "stuff" will be in the cab of the truck with us, so we have as much cargo room as possible for the trip back north. I haven't seen Craig's trailer so I'm not sure if it's a "car hauler" or a cargo trailer, but I'm picking it up this weekend so we can leave early next week. I'll post up as soon as I get it. If I remember correctly, he pulls it behind his motorhome, usually with golf carts and/or side-by-sides in it...so it could go either way on the car hauler / cargo trailer spectrum.
