I run that exact tire on the back of my Charger. It does fit, but I will get occasional rubbing if anyone is sitting in the back seat (not bad). Not sure if it would fit in your 69 Bee. If I remember correctly, I went with a 5.25 backspace. In retrospect, probably should have gone with 5.5.

Thanks! The wheel I want comes in a 17x9.5 with 5.5 backspace. I get a tiny bit of rub over Certain dips with my 275/60r15.
I have a 255/50/17 planned for the front on a 17x8. What’s your fronts?

My fronts are the Nitto Motivo and are a 235/55/17. I don't remember what I went with for a backspace on the fronts.

Wimpy little tires.... Gotta step up your game....

315/45-17 on 17 x 11 wheels

Full disclosure, no wheel tubs, stock spring location, it is close everywhere but didn't rub... Those are actually my wheels & tires on my friends Coronet R/T... My Coronet isn't on the road yet.... But I wanted to see how they looked & fit on his car... We drove it a little but not much so while they didn't rub I can't say they wouldn't rub if driven more...... Front tires I'd need to look, I think they a 255/55-17..

Those wheels and tires changed his Coronet from Grandpa's Old Dodge into a very cool looking muscle car...

The 68-70 B body cars have quarter panels that fool you into thinking that you can fit HUGE tires in there.
You can but you might have to raise the car to do it without having tire rub. The reason is that the wheel tub design is strange. You'd think they would have made the outer wheel tub to follow straight up alongside the quarter panel but they didn't. The tub looks like this:

I did a NO $$$ fix on my "Jigsaw" Charger and plan to do the same with my other car.
Along that ridge, I cut the tub using a grinder.

Then I made additional cuts and pushed the metal in.....It looked like football stitches. Welded it up....

Grind down the high spots, add some primer and seam sealer.....

Finish it off with some undercoating shot from a Shutz gun....

Now you can fit some W I D E tires in there without rubbing!
