anyone else think V 10s sound like crap?

I like the vipers with a tuned exhaust, the trucks do sound like an overworked honda....

I never had any respect for buick grand nationals for this same reason (and other reasons)....... they do not sound like a muscle car

yeah, remember reading because it was a 10 cyl. something about multiple cylinders firing or whatever giving them a "different" sound .. agree V-8 cammed rumping away ..nothing like it ... it's funny how your at a cruise night and someone starts a good sounding cammed car, how it draws guys over like they have no control, just have to get close to it

I had a red roadster blow by me on the I-15 heading out ion San Diego back in 2009ish
I was in the GT500
At about 130 or so he flew by me

The highly vaunted P-51/F-51 w/ Rolls Merlin V-12 doesn't sound all that great at an idle....like a pop corn machine kinda.' But at speed.........well if You've ever witnessed a P-51 making a hi speed, lo pass on the deck....& i mean live, not memorex.
A car that sounds like its missing cylinders is the Subaru WRX. I've heard a couple that have been fitted with exhaust systems that get rid of the plop, plop, plop sound. Like Subies or not, they DO perform. The original WRX, 1.8 litre, box stock, 0-60 mph, 5 seconds. Admirable, but i cant stand plastic wheel wells & headlights.
I wouldnt at all obect to a V-12 note, properly exhausted, coming from a 68-70 B bod.

I bought my Ram SRT-10 in march 04. Have 155k miles now. I like the sound of my truck.the only thing I did was swap the muffler for an x-pipe. It's never going to sound like a v8 but that's ok. It's not.
