Just checking to see if anyone had bought an AMD hood for their 68/69 Roadrunner? I have my original hood but my body guy says it would be much better to just buy a new one from AMD since mine needs some work. I know from experience that the AMD stuff doesn't fit like OEM, they even admit it. Has anyone used one with any success? Seems to me the hood is one place you don't wanna risk having an ill fitting panel. Just trying to figure out if i need to ditch the hood or my body guy. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

I used one on my 69 and the fit was perfect. A couple of small blems on top that needed some attention, but nothing serious.

my new amd hood had to get some minor trim work on the bottom of the back lip where it meets the fire wall & I had to play with a couple areas on the underside to get my air grabber boxes to fit either way it was really no big deal for a good body man but other than that it was fine.

'69 RR hoods are not difficult to find. I'd search for a different one before I'd go the repop route.

My only concern with that is finding one in better condition than mine. Most times you have to go on the word of the person selling it and its not as good as described, Unless i can find one locally.
