Under the dash, has three wires which I traced to the map light switch and then on to the glove box light... Looks like a flasher or something but it doesn't show in the wiring diagrams what the heck is it...68 satellite the wires are pink/yellow/yellow tracer...thanks!

I believe that to be the warning buzzer to alert you if you leave the lights on.

Edit: On second thought it might be the time delay for the map lights and ignition key lights. Dang, now I'm confused too...

Re-edit: Yup, it's the timer. The experts have chimed in.

I believe that is the mechanical timer for your key light.
 
Thanks guys, I finally found it on the FSM diagram..(on the valiant/barracuda page lol!) Not on the belvedere/satellite diagram. It apparently connects to the ignition light, door switches, cigar lighter, glove box, map light etc....
 
Yes, correct. I have one of those. It's the delay timer for an A01 "light package"
