Yesterday afternoon, there was a big 12-point buck just walking down the sidewalk by my house. La-di-da. Not a care in the world as I drove by.

I guess he didn't want to get his hooves wet from the snow.

I find it interesting how points are counted.
I grew up with, 4 point buck meant 4 points on each antler.
As I understand it, in some areas that would be considered a 8 pointer.
Interesting how things are different in certain areas.

You'd need to go to Boone & Crockette, and Pope & Young Scoring, for Species, in the USA. Not sure how, or what Scoring method is used in Canada, but you've got some Awesome hunting there !!!

Everything is Mule Deer here. Named because of their big ears. After our recent snow storm you can see the tracks of animals that have been in your yard. My backyard looked like there had been a cattle drive through it. I think I get more deer in my residential neighborhood than we do at the ranch. I was in our little town of Monument where there are lots of deer. A herd crossed the street in front of me, one at a time, backing up traffic.
