At a loss

I’m trying to tie the block back to my 1968 Charger 383 2brl but nothing seams to match. Any suggestions please

look on the back of the motor by the oil sending unit, for a stamping where the trans bolts to the motor, my 68 road runner had the last 4 of the vin stamped there, heard of more 68s stamped there also.
