Exactly what I was thinking and why I was looking at this thread.
Apparently if you go out of state, cops may not understand the system. It's ripe for problems.
And to get really "off topic", this begs the question of The Big Title Debate.
I don't understand. With computer systems and the growth of interest in collector cars, why ALL states don't issue titles on older cars like Washington does?
My state doesn't and it seems backwards. Rescue a car and get a title. Simple process, run the vin and get money.
Sure, it would mean more "revenue" for the state. But I would think the government would like that.
But I'm also guessing MOST people that have collector cars wouldn't mind paying for the "peace of mind".
And think of all the debate on these boards it would save.
