Took my Charger out for a drive this afternoon before the rain comes in tomorrow. While moving along I see about 5 cars ahead of me a Super Bee and was excited to see another Mopar out on the road. Was able to get behind it & I gave the guys in it a thumbs up. They got excited as well to see me behind them and gave me the thumbs up.
So I motioned to them to pull over so we could meet and look at each others cars. We get out and introduce ourselves and then it hit me. I knew these guys & we hadn't seen each other in about 25 years! When I told them who I was they're jaws hit the floor in amazement.
Back in the mid 80's we had the same common friends who were brothers (that I worked with) & we all used to hang out as well as party. One of the guys & I even went hiking and camping a few times. Back then one of them a 66/67 340 Barracuda, while the other one had a Duster and a Valiant.
As High School ended we all went our separate ways as the years passed.
Once we got over the shock & amazement we went to one of the guys house to talk and catch up. He still has his Barracuda but also has an real A12 Superbee, 72 Cuda, Modern Challenger, Ram Truck as well as this Firebird.
We're now planning to get the old gang back together for a reunion, and now do some shows together.
Gotta love this hobby!
