Hi everyone,
A bunch of years ago I bought a set of axles with new bearings.
Is there a way to tell what kind of bearings they are, whether they are green bearings or OEM?
Thanks

Those are plain old ball/roller bearing "greens" with the O ring. I believe the newer ones use a snap ring and those O ring ones were the common failure style.. but I've been wrong before...

I was afraid that's what they might be.
Thanks for the reply.

Two questions,
I'm going with Timken cone type bearings.
1. How do you adjust the end play when installing the axles on an 8 3/4 diff?
2. Where can I find a set of axle bearing flanges plates?
Thanks

Actually, from what I know that’s not all that bad of news. I think the worse part of replacing tapered bearings is removing the old ones. Someone has already done that for you so you could remove those green bearings and press on new tapered bearings if you are so inclined.

Dts sells the end caps and you need adjuster paw a little clip from rt specialties u adjust on one side consider buying entire kit from dana thru dts comes with everything
