My 1962 Plymouth Savoy is definitely a driver. It’s been in the family since it was new. I have done a great deal of restoration work on it. Time for a little body work. The rocker panels need to be painted as does the lower two or 3 inches of front fenders and rear quarter panels. I do my own bodywork and although it’s not much to look at looks OK from 15 feet. At a car show recently the owner had painted his rocker panels and the bottom 3 inches of the fender and quarter panels with truck bed liner. His car was black so it matched easily. My Plymouth is white and truck bed liner is also available in white. My question is has anyone tried this on their Mopar? There are both spray on and brush on versions of truck bed liner. The reviews seemed to indicate that the brush on provides a longer lasting result with far better adhesion. It seems like an ideal repair in that even when I’m done with my prep, the original metal is less than perfect and the truck bedliner would provide great protection and a decent look. Looking forward to your input.
