Well i just got home from sitting my 400/727 in my 63 Polara, it went in nice other than the headers didnt fit, so i will have to order some new headers. I got the new cam and lifters, new timing chain, and lots of BEER and spray paint put down, LOL. I need to get a new cross member of the tranny, but while we were waiting around we broke out the buffer and went to town on the grill and front bumper and i must say after a 12 pack it looked pretty good. I will get my wife to down load pictures in the morning so i can show all the fun we had all day. Nothing better than friends, BEER, and a good old DODGE.

Here we go.

Yeah that would be a good ad for them LOL, it was a blast that day, been long time since i had the time to spend all day in the garage.

I keep looking for some eyes in that scoop.lol
Sorta reminds me of a alien or the grim reaper.

Yeah that scoop is something else its for our boat, it was setting there and i thought hey that would make a interesting photo.

So doesn't all that beer make for a sloppy buffing pad?

I'd think Bailey's would stick to the wool a bit better. :icon_hang:

Got my dash in today, lowered the front end, buff some more trim. Im waiting on my valve covers and intake to put those on. So on the 78038 long headers is that with a regular starter and mini starter? Here is some pics, and YES 63 front ends ROCK.

That car looks so much like mine did about 3+ years ago it's scary!

Same original teal color and, at the time, gray primer on about 80% of it.

Original starter works fine with those Hedmans from what I'm told but I'm using a Nippendenso mini starter that was rebuilt locally for practically no $$.

How bad are your headlight rings? Mine were pretty trashed and I managed to save them. They're very delicate, though.

I have those same Hedman headers. Can't imagine a standard starter working with them, my mini starter just barely clears but does fit well once in.

Mini's usually have more clearance issues with headers than the standard starters do for some odd reason.

Thanks for the help, i guess i will but a set of them try putting them on with the factory starter and see how it fits, my headlight bezels are gone one was completetly flat, other was just as bad, so i have been looking for a decent set $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Need some help i found a guy that has a set of headers not sure of the brand but not heddman or hooker, but he is saying they are for 68-74 b-body, i want to put them on my 63 polara, does anyone know if these fit? Dont want to buy these and not fit then have to sell them. Just emailed me and he said they are Flow Tech headers.

So my craiglist headers fit really well, while I was picking them up, the powder coat shop called and my intake and vavle covers were done, so i got the headers on intake and gaskets on and the valve covers, one step closer to firing it up.

I love those M/T Valve covers. I wanna put them on my 63 Plymouth.
Had them in High School. They never leaked.I'm stuck in the 70's.

SSR- it may have been a little later but we put those MT valve covers on everything in high school... Unless the engine already had some blue or gold anodized Erson ones of course!

Who did your powdercoat?

I've had good luck with Powdertech and seen some really questionable stuff come from Lorac.

Powdertech did mine, there ok, a few spots are not the greatest but it was half the price of Lorac.
