On the Super Stock cars, I believe they used a pair of 47", 3/8 belts.
Was this a MoPar part from a different usage? If so anyone have a part number?

If they were aftermarket, who made them for MoPar?

What are guys using today for restorations? Anything close, non MoPar?

Thanks.

Here's a little trick that might help. Many fan belts have part numbers that relate to their size (see example below). The "15" relates to the width/style of the belt & the "470" = 47.0" length, so this is a 47" long belt. (another example, a #15385 belt would be the same width/style as this belt, but only 38.5" long)

belt part # 15470

Hope This Helps!

Thanks for the info. I need to find a pr. without the cogs.

Hopefully, a guy with a restored Super Stock will chime in.

The original factory part number belt for the Super Stock cars is 1614 009. Obviously a very old number, so I have no idea the original application. I checked the cross reference charts and they come up with belts that are 45". I bought old stock non cogged belts off ebay and hoped they weren't too old and brittle

One other thing, the SS cars used single belts. Alternator pulley was 2 rows but other pulleys were single. I think only the GN cars used dual belts

This is for a GN car. Thanks for the reply and a PM sent.

If your having trouble locating a belt at your local parts house, you might try WW Grainger....they have thousands of belts. We get all of our AHU/FCU belts from them...
