I restore and race vintage karts, my girlfriend also drives one I restored for her; mine is 135 cc 2 cycle, dual carb on methanol, about 40hp. This year we have raced in Jacksonville, Fl; Kershaw, SC; Barnesville, Ga; Camden, Oh and New Castle, In with races scheduled at VIR, Va; and Circleville, Oh. We are hoping to take one of mine over to run next March in Australia.

Before I started dumping time and money into my cars, I dumped time and (less) money playing guitar in a thrash metal band down in LA. Played for some big crowds at some classic venues like the Key Club and Hollywod House of Blues both on Sunset Blvd. Still enjoy playing guitar when I find the time. (got the whole "speedfreak" name idea from a song by Motorhead)

Otherwise typical Oregonian stuff, shooting, bbq's, jumping off stuff at the river. Two awesome rivers close by so a lot of fun in the sun. :icon_cool:

I have had a Gold claim for 20 years this season. Don't mine as much as I used to as it is HARD work but the place is like heaven. I have been there as long as 2 weeks and not seen a soul! Just spent 5 days over the 4th up there repairing mother natures assault on my camp. here are some pics of my efforts.

We dug the hill back about 3 feet over the 4th. I got a Corian counter with a molded sink out of a remodel project and that is down there now. The area with the table is much wider now. That is my son-in-law in the pic.

I tell all of my friends when they ask what I am doing with my time, that I am interested in old cars and old women! Most of time my wife is standing right there too--I usually end up with a bruised shoulder, but luckily she is a great sport.

I used to love slot car racing as a kid. During the winters we used to go to different friends basements and race. A few year ago when my son was young I tried to get him involved. That did not work so well since I was competing with video games, but while doing that I tried to fill a gap I had seen for parties that was not available in this area or seen like this. TableTopRaceParties was born.
