This trans was used in my 64 Sport Fury so I know it does not belong to it for obvious reasons.
Looking to get an ID as I am not knowledgeable with the numbers on these things.
It came from out west with my car.
So it may be something that some one is looking, for, I don't know. If it is I would like to see it go back to where it belongs.
Other wise it will go up for sale as a core.
Thanks
Ed

1967 440 LP from a full size car

No that is the plant where it was built. nothing about the VIN goes on a 67 trans, that is the part number only.

vin goes on the top rear bellhousing on 1968, and on the other side of bellhousing on 1969 and up
Does PK mean it is out of a Police Car?

I've heard that before....and some may say the PK means Passenger (car), Kimono.....but they were ALL made at Kimono weren't they, including the older ones that started with "G"..... I'm foggy on it...

I think you mean Kokomo.

The 2801541 is the hard one to find, but the 540 is a good 440 trans though, 7 planetary? vs the 383 with six.
