I picked these up today for 60 bucks. I wanted a set . 440 Source has new ones but I found these local. Seems to be complete minus the hollow bolts on the end for oil feed. The guy said they’re factory Chrysler, but when I looked them over they have ISKY stamped on .

Okay here is my dumb question for the day, how do they get oiled ? Never had a set of these before.

Need regular bolts, and scrap the sawed off 63 down cut off aluminum pedestal mounts. And scrap the the poly barrel adjusters.

I understand that part about the OEM, but these have plugs in the ends of the shafts, OEM they're open.

If you look at the #2 & #4 shaft mounting bosses you'll see the slightly oversize recess with the drilled oil passage... The bottom hole in the rocker shaft is also oversized, oil enters around the bolt...

As mentioned those are cut down rocker stands from a 63 or earlier engine... Probably should upgrade to better hold downs, but those are better than the stamped steel ones...

Early Iskys with the friction lock adjusters, I would definitely upgrade the screws to good hardened adjuster screws with lock nuts...

Early Isky's have the round hardened wear pads at the valve contact... Check the contact with the wear pad to the valve tip, a lot of them need to be machined to improve alignment....

BSB67-Relax, last time I have a big block Mopar apart was 1990, the engine in my car was 1985. I have been playing with Pontiac's, we use oil through the push rod and ball stud. The only other set of Chrysler shafts I have laying around is a rusty old set and they have no plugs, probably driven out to clean

Yes I was looking at replacement bolts, and the adjusters with lock nuts. I will look into new mounts.

Be aware, new shaft hold downs may effect the rocker/valve alignment... As I mentioned earlier, this can be an issue with Isky rockers, easily remedied, but an issue all the same..

I will be mindful of the alignment, you also said some machining may be needed on the tips where they contact the valve stem ?. I haven't messed with shaft rockers in a long time. I had a Ford FE that also had the shaft rockers. When I rebuilt the engine in the car over 40 years ago I just placed the rocker shafts on the heads, and torqued them . Sounds like I need to take my time with these and line everything up.

Thanks for your help everyone. I learned a lot about these, and how to set them up.
