Hello every one
I have a big block intake manifold came from a 383 RB engine,Casting Number is 1851898 & it is 4 bbl.

does it fit other RB blocks? :icon_question:

Thanks for answer, but my question is about a 383 RB intake for other RB engines

B engine intakes do not fit RB engines and vice-versa.

unless it is an early tall deck style RB-383, I've personally never tried a manifold from an early RB-383 on the Later 413-426-440 RB-Tall Deck... they are completely different animal, than the Low Deck B-series 350-361-383-400 series of engines...

Little info below:: says 99,568 were built 1959 and 1960 only

The 383 cubic inch RB engine was only available in 1959-1960 on the US built Chrysler Windsor and Saratoga (thanks, Ian Smale and Bill Watson); one of Trenton Engine’s lines had been converted to the new RB engine (to make the 413), and demand for the 383 was too high for the remaining line. The solution was to create an RB 383 to fill the gap, until the plant figured out how to quickly switch from one block to the other. American-made Chrysler and Imperial cars used the RB blocks, with the 413 going into Imperial, New Yorker, 300E, and 300F. U.S. Chrysler/Imperial usage for those years was:
Vehicle Engine 1959 1960 Total
Chrysler Windsor / Saratoga RB - 383 47,219 52,349 99,568
Chrysler New Yorker / 300 RB - 413 17,025 20,602 37,627
Imperial RB - 413 17,262 17,719 34,981

Original is at Mopar (Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth) RB series V8 engines: 383, 413, 440, and 426 http://www.allpar.com/mopar/383.html#ixzz2bsDuDA77

I remember something about being able to use a low deck intake on a 440 using the old Mopar stage IV heads. Anyone want to elaborate on this?

you can use a Low-deck B intake & Spacers on a Tall-deck RB block too

Do you mean Stage VI heads? You can use a 440 intake on a B engine with stage VI heads or stage VI heads used on a RB engine needs spacers or a special Mopar Performance intake.

Looks like I glazed right over the RB 383 part!! That'll teach me to read posts after a few shots of brandy and half asleep on the couch! 383 RB intake should fit the other RB engines but the later 440 intake is much better and had the wider carb pattern.
