FOUND Big block Mopar Performance polished aluminum valve covers

The air cleaner bases are decent but the lids have a bunch of casting flaws too.

There's a big "box" of excess metal that surrounds the MP logo, tall on some and uneven on others.

Though the lettering overall is cleaner and sharper, chipped fins are normal.

The most noticeable defect to me -- being a woman :wetting:-- is that the ends of the fins are not uniform in the least and look like ....... well, there's no delicate or ladylike way to say it ...... little dicks.

I always have to round them off (they lean the other way past the center) with my riffler files.

If Dow 7 is what I think, a kind of old magnesium look, I have one that might fit the bill.

:lol:Leanna, you should cast some of your own! Just spell em MOPER PERFurRMANCE .:drinks::poke:
Fixed it fur ya!:D
Funny how I started reading this thread and thought of my mistress and before I could post she was here.Anyway I have seen so many that Leanna has done they are individually outstanding:lowdown::lowdown::lowdown:

They are the "as-cast" and not polished. It would take quite a lot of sanding then polishing to get those to look like something. I kinds think that they may be the ones that MP thought would be too much work to bother polishing , i could be wrong .
I bought a new set of 'as cast' few years ago. Mine were not a good casting & would'nt shine up to a mirror finish like I wanted. So I painted them & shined up the top ribs the best I could.

Quick update , I did get a nice pair from Moparsaver ( great to work with btw) but may be interested in another pair for a different project. If you have a nice set to sell please pm me, thanks. Cuda chick, thanks for all of your info .
