Cleaning out the garage and found two lightly used original radiators, trying to figure out what they're worth. One is PN 2582943 which is a '66 B-body 22" rad for small block LA 273 or 318. The other is PN 2898047 which is a '68 B-body 26" rad for big block B/RB 383 or 440, it was in a 383 auto car with A/C and an 8 3/4" posi rear. Neither radiator needs work, they're both clean and ready to run. I'm guessing $150-$250 for the small block rad and $400-$500 for the big-block rad -- does that sound about right?

IF it doesn't need to be recored which is getting expensive these days. You csan now buy repoed ones with the numbers you need for you car for $1200. plus a little more if you are **** enough to want it date coded.

This radiator topic has been on my radar lately and with a little help from my friends I found out the 047 is big block A/C only - just like you said. I spoke to one guy with an 047 and he said it's half the value of an 048, whatever that is.

And I was being generous with the $400-$500 price.

That is the radiator we have been discussing in the other thread and it is also correct for 1966 383 so it is not as special as some people would have you think.

I was reading this thread and my 67 radiator is also 2898048......A/C car 383 4bbl.....interesting....26'. I looked it up and thought it was not date correct, but the seller assured me that that's the one that came with it....its in nice shape.....but was a bitch to get out.....
