No one ever oils the advance cam, and this is the results.
i've tried all kinds of stuff and the results seem to be the same; the grease dries up.Lou,I have been using white Lithium for years and never had a problem,same with the breaker plate.
Bingo oil the felt with a few drops of motor oil every 12k keeps it all lubed under the plate (weight, springs, shaft). A lot of us do not know that.Oiling that little felt circle was standard at tune up time-every 12,000 miles in the old days. Checking both advance systems was also included.
