Block drain plug ?????

Does the block drain plug need any type of sealer when I put it back in?? Any help is appreciated!

It's pipe thread (tapered thread) so technically it shouldn't need a sealant, but these are old engines, so I always have used a sealant on anything using a pipe thread, just to be safe.

Teflon tape or paste.
