Just when I thought it was safe to look at tail lights again I was traumatized by the blue dot flu.
I was not a fan when they were suppose to be COOL and I'm stil not a fan at 60 years old. What makes something a fad and why is it always expected that we should accept it. With the soaring price of parts these days who says ok let me drill holes in my 68 Roadrunner tail ights so I can put these crappy blue dots in? I guess I'll never understand....

We are not talking blue dot camera flash bulbs in 4 flash cubes?
Other wise when was anything but red legal on the rear?
Most of us have cars that attract enough attention without compromising safety.

Exactly. Most of what I'm told is it began on the Model A and T's and soon after spread to Indian and Harley cycles

I used to love those blue dots. Actually I still kind of like them (on someone elses car).

I like em in 68 corner markers.....& led sleds. Glad we're not all the same.

I never did get the blue dot thing and I have been in the muscle car and chopper seen since I was a little boy. Except for original stuff.

blue dots look good on the pre 60 cars

Don't they change the color red to a brighter pink color when lit? I think that was the original idea, to make the lense brighter in those old six volt cars.

I love blue dots. Got a spare set of '69 lenses to put 'em in. But hey, not everybody likes peanut butter either!

seen these in a Prowler didnt look bad
