heres a couple of vids from saturday. turned out to be a pretty decent day, a little chilly but dry ! ...

i went 11.9 @112, my 60ft SUCKS !!! so will be doing some rear suspension tweaking before Mopar madness in may ....

Yes, 1st time down the 1/4 .... 446, 727, 8 3/4 4.10's .... motor is built pretty good, 10.5:1, worked performer rpm heads .... i know my rear setup is not as good as it can be. running HD hemi springs w/caltracs. my pass spring is weak, will be ordering mono-leaf springs this week ....
 
Great vid's 65-440! I could watch those in car video's all day. You have a real strong running car, very cool!

are the as consistant as they say ? ... not sure i want to lose my rake though ! i know the *** end will sit lower than it is now ....

They will be more consistent that what you have but not as consistent as Ladder Bars or 4 Link.
As for the ride height... you really don't want the car setting real high in the rear end because it's harder for it to transfer the weight.
Call Calvert and talk to either John Calvert or Travis, tell them what you have. They can get you the right springs. They have different springs for different ride height.
when you get the springs, I would also go with at least the Rancho/Calvert 9 way adjustable shocks. If you have the money then go all the way and buy a good set of Afco double adjustable.

Now you will get your rake back when you loosen the front end up. Calvert wants 5" of front-end travel in order for the car to work properly.

you did great going down the track for the 1st time.
my 1st time in my 70 cuda going 11.97 i almost went into the swamp when my drum brakes faded and couldnt stop me quick enough. you did awesome. guess you got the bug now!
 
The car sounds nice,i do enjoy in car videos as well.I want a 65 dodge.It would look nice between the black 440 and black demon.Ya a real nice black 65 coronet:eusa_pray::icon_keel:

I called them earlier, not sure who i talked to but he pretty much said the same thing as you. i already have the rancho 5 way shocks. i know the rake isnt practical, but i love the look ! I think im going with the +1" springs, and tighten up the torsion bars up a little .....

Thanks Chris, yep i've been biten ! ... still do a bit of street driving so as long as i can control my desire to do better next time, I'll stop when i hit 10.something !!!

I started with a high 11 low 12 second car and its never enough.
bought my 65 blue dodge in 1999 and ran a 10.30 and swore that was as fast as i want to go.then i go and buy a 557 indy motor and go 9.88
then 9.22 with my 588. same block different heads and now 8.98.
You see the pattern. YOUR NEVER SATISFIED!!!
Its a disease. I can't stop buying parts and wanting to go fast.

Yep you are totally screwed!!!! It happens to everyone. :headbang:

I went from 12.5 and thought that was great. I got tired(bored) with that so in goes a new motor 10.5 now but I will "FRESHEN UP" the motor in a few years so why not up grade to 10.0 then on to the hi 9's I will never have the money to go 8 but man would that be great. A lot of guys are held back by their wifes not wanting them to spend the money. My wife loves that the car is fast. I know in a few she will ok it to spend the money to hit 10.0 and beyond. So here is to hoping your wife likes fast cars.

Good luck controlling the fever. You will never be able to but good luck anyway
