I have no problem with a 383,they are torque monsters.JMO You can run high RPMS on those babies. I loved mine when I had one . Nice pic of Luna.

Rotating assembly is done. Verified piston to deck height, I have a variance of .001 to .004 below deck. I am good with that.
Cam installation and degreeing is next. Here is the cam specs, also using NOS Sealed Power lifters in it.

You'll love that cam. Very similar to the Crane HMV 278 I used to run in my previous 400.

ok.... here's my update
after a long couple months that I would like to forget; I cleaned this disaster of a shop thoroughly. I must have been on some kind of a roll last summer, cause this place was totally trashed.
rotisserie moved to the paint room, and the Pumpkin is front and center in the big shop...... I need to bust a move, but all the hard stuff is already done.
