Bought a 74 Mopar Today, But Not A B Body

The 1973 "C" Body front Disc Brake set up -- the complete assembly -- from wheel -to-wheel -- is a very desirable and often asked for
portion of a parts car on the "For C Bodies Only" website......
If you are not going to use that for your own purposes -- you can list it and sell it faster than you can say "lickety-split"....

I was asking, because There is a U code 74' available in Western Nebraska minus an engine, and I don't know much about them. So I'm looking for more Information.

My big thing with the 73/74 Roadrunners isn't engines, it's the quarter panels. They are just notorious for rotting out and they've never been reproduced. There was someone making patch panels, but I think they're gone now. I would take a 318 car with good quarters over a U code Roadrunner GTX with bad quarters.

It has been in a barn since 1980. The car is rust free, and I have a 74' 440HP from a 74' Charger Rallye, removed from the car in 1984.(long gone) The Engine is an original forged crank engine, and drilled for a stick. I am pondering making a one of one 74' Roadrunner 440 four speed, like my friend 's GTX at minot AFB in 1971. original 1971 GTX 440 six pack. I know it sounds crazy, but it would be a beast. And I could reminisce.

Well, the 73/74 Roadrunners have been my all-time favorite car since I first saw one in 1973. The one I have now is my eighth, and I have gone off the reservation once and bought a 72 GTX, but my first love is the 73/74s. That being said, these cars have never been worth much, and likely never will be worth much, so we are free to mod the crap out of them without worry of destroying their value. :)

If the car is rust free, I would snag it in a second and mod it anyway I like.

Well, got the wagon home. Good news is it has a 3.23 center, but but bad news is it's an open unit. On the plus side, it has a complete cruise control system. :)

A 1973 "C" Body is VERY desirable in the "C" Body world -- because all the 1965 - 1972s that want to do a "Disc Brake Conversion" are informed that the 1973 Parts are the ones to use....
So if you are not using them for your own needs, you can sell the whole package Quickly and Easily o the "For C Bodies Only" Forum!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing more fun than lying under a 40+ year old car, loosening the lower radiator hose, getting a bath in two-year old nasty coolant, and then discovering fire ants are now calling the space between the radiator and the support home. :(

Any idea what to ask for it?
