Just replaced my turn signal switch on my 70RR to get my brake lights working again. Now my pedal doesn’t hit the brake light switch but that’s because I swapped masters, anyways if I manually push the brake light switch to where the brake lights would be off the taillights start flashing and the flasher goes off under the dash. Is this a ground issue? Or possibly a bad new turn signal switch?

Could be. The repops are trouble.

Manually push the switch to make the brake lights go out? So the pedal arm doesn’t touch the switch and you have to push the switch, do you mean depress the plunger on it? Because that should make the lights come on, not go off.

If they are repros, its most likely the new Switch.

Make sure you didn't pinch/damage the pigtail going down to the wiring harness when you put the metal wiring cover back on the lower portion of the steering column.

The switch being depressed would be brake lights off….press the brake pedal and the plunger releases which closes the contacts for brake light on.

Yes, you are right. I had it in my head it was the other way around for some reason lol. Disregard what I posted.
