My son has a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually. The specification for the bolts holding the caliper mount 2 knuckle from several sources is 275 foot pounds of torque. Is this for real?

could it be inch pounds?

275 inch pounds would only be 23 foot pounds. That sounds too long to me. I'm still scratching my head.

Sounds like maybe wheel nut torque. I'd just tighten them up "real good". As in, they aren't going to fall off. Blue loctite if you still have concerns. 18" breaker bar style.

The 275 might also be the axle nut.

Do you have a factory manual saying that? I know some of the aftermarket books will 'copy' other aftermarket repair books....

I looked for ever for the same thing. Are you referring to the front or rear disc brakes? Front caliper mounting (to adapter) is 24 Ft/Lbs, and the caliper adapter to axle is 210 Ft/Lbs. I have yet to find any info for the rear calipers. the bolts are large (don't remember the size), but was going to tighten them to the spec for their size. This is a page from a 2002 dodge 2500-3500 manual.
