Have you guys found any magic formula that will remove dried on bug splatters that won't damage the paint? I always put the job of cleaning the bumpers, grills, and front ends off until covering up the cars for the winter, and it sucks.

I always try and get them off right away.
Even after a few days I've seen discoloration and paint deformation.
I do recommend ceramic coating (a good one like 3M or chemical guys) bugs come off much easier.
To clean dried bugs I start with a quick detailer and let it sit 5-10 minutes.
I use a cotton cloth with a little tooth to it a microfiber towel just moves stuff around.
If that doesn't work I use a cheap foaming glass cleaner and do the same thing spray wait a bit and clean something else.
Of course with just wax you've likely lost your wax in that area now.
Either A or B does the job.

I bet spraying the front with wd40 or maybe baby oil (or similar) before driving would be a good preventative
It sprays on. It's a foam. Let it soak in and wipe the bugs off. It is a great window cleaner as well. You can find it at Wal Mart and Menards.

I drive to SW Colorado for an annual show in September and my Charger is covered with bugs. I have used Sprayway glass cleaner with some success, but tried this 3D Bug Remover this year and was amazed! That stuff is awesome. It's a great degreaser and general cleaner, and also good for a final wipe if you're spraying paint or clear.

I haven't tried this in years, but I remember reading about and using windshield washer fluid on a soft sponge to remove bugsplats.
I have used Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover, with great success. It comes in a spray can, and works just like you hope it would.
This is the way. My TTA car is ceramic coated and I use ceramic spray Detailer and they wipe right off.
This stuff is awesome. They also make a spray interior detailer that works awesome under the hood for detailing. All the houses and rubber shine up with just a spray and you don’t need to wipe anything off. Takes a couple of minutes to detail under the hood. They have 3 different versions, I use the interior detailer matte finish for the engine. I haven’t tried the high gloss or instant shine yet.
Someone say bugs...
Used this stuff for years, it works.
