Bulb Holders for '66 Charger

I just finished rehabbing the tail light assembly on my '66 and don't exactly tust the bulb holders that are in the car at the moment. I tried a quick search and did not have much luck finding ones that look like this. I dealt with a similar style on my old '59 Chevy, but have never seen ones with the "extension" piece in the center. Anyone know if these are correct, and if so, where to get new ones? Secondary question, can I just run holders without the extender piece and cut down on the "hotspot" behind each letter when the bulbs light up?

Those sockets were on most Mopars, look for some that aren’t that extremely rusty.

That is what I am looking for haha. Are there any reproduction or aftermarket sources, or do I just need to find ones from folks who are parting out cars?

I was wondering about this! Personally I like having the bulb set further back away from the lens. I feel like it would give more even light distribution. Less "hot spots" behind the letters"

I agree about the light distribution, I mean you want to spread out, not be a dot of light.

im interested in others replying here as to if they have these extensions .

Fully Agree. If they are shorter , they will discolour the paint on the housing. Never damaged the lenses when new and still don’t.

Not worried about discoloration of lenses at all, and I refinished the buckets with primers and paints rates well above the temps of the bulbs. Mostly I’m just faced with either crappy sockets, or replacing them with non-deep style but brand new ones unless someone has a source for repro deep ones
