Does anyone know what type bulb would be used in the rear interior panels in my 69 convertible? Im thinking there the same type as in the console. I was wondering if a 1156 would work but it seems to big. Thanks

Dont use 1156. The big bulbs will melt the plastic lenses.

Steve - the standard light bulbs generate a lot of heat - I'd suggest going LED and prevent you from melting the plastic covers. They should also provide more light.

Check this out for LED if you want to go that way. They also have cross reference & list of bulbs/lamps so you could probably find the original number for what you need.

I agree; go LED; more bright, also use less juice from the battery when the doors are left open, etc,
