Hello, I’m a beginner who is about to begin a body job on my 1968 Coronet 500 HT. I’m curious is there is a body guy in Calgary who would steer a guy in the right direction. I am a pilot by day but I do home Reno’s on the side so maybe there is a trade for time opportunity there. I’m located in the NW of Calgary. thanks!

Not doubting your ability, but it took my VERY experienced body guy many hours to get my 68 net quarters right. There are a LOT of compound curves in these coke bottle cars !

Yes that’s what makes these cars look as great as they do. Both quarters need skins. I have AMD sheet metal ordered for both QP skins. The one side also needs drop downs, and an outer wheel house. I’m a decent welder but I know it’s a steep learning curve. Not in a hurry.

It's great that you can weld, as there is much more welding with skins, than with quarters.

Steve Harris is your guy - I do believe he owns a body shop but I have no idea what the name of it is. Maybe look him up in the phone book but if you ask around I'm sure he's well known in the Mopar circle.
