Can the driver door ID tag be replaced?

My 72 SSP is going in for blasting and paint soon. Doing a color change. Is there any way to save the driver door id tag, or get a replacement?

I would duct tape a piece of 20ga. over the top of it and tell the guy blasting to stay off of it.
Once it's home do that area by hand.

ECS makes them. They will need a picture of your original as proof. They do a nice job.

I just got mine and have yet to put it on the car.
