Am I right in recalling that you can pull the dash frame without pulling the windshield? Need to do a laundry list of work and figured that would be the easier option to finish work on the bench.

If you are talking about a 66-70 B body you have to pull the windshield to get the bolts in the window channel that hold the dash in

No need to pull the winshield on 71-74. When you pull out the front speaker cover, you will be able to get the to the top bolts. Bottom has one on each side at the kick panel. You will have to drop the column so you have room. Hope this helps....Al

The bolts under the speaker cover are a pain in the aZZ. Especially when your trying to get the bolt started when putting the dash back in and you don't want to scratch things up on a freshly painted dash. I used a long flexible socket extension (about a foot long) and it makes the job much easier.

77.jpgyep 1/4 u joint long extension for me best to have a helper for the top ones if paint is fresh. here is a shot with the window out it shows what is under the speaker cover and the shitty dash cap fit!

I got mine out with the windshield in. Now I might put it back in before I put the windshield back in. Just to make things easier.
