Shop said to bring the car in 5/2. When I called then and the next two weeks they said they were behind. I told them I wasn't going to bring the car to them to sit, so they finally called and said they were ready today. Complete paint including door jams, inside poor panels and trunk. Front and back glass out. I removed everything for them but the gas cap. Drove it to their shop and took off the taillights and front turn signals. They are doing full length quarter patch panels to fix the inner lip of the rear wheel wells someone cut for tire clearance in a prior life.

They told me three weeks. I ran into the guy with the car ahead of mine and he said they are four weeks past when promised on his. I am hoping for the best. Could not afford a show quality paint job right now, but want the car 100% presentable to drive. I stopped for gas on the way to the body shop and a guy next to me asked if I had just gotten it back from the paint shop. No one seemed to think the car really needed painted but me. The last paint job they did not remove much and it still looked pretty good for nine years old. Just a few minor bubbles and paint flaws, and some clear coat came off with the tape stripes I removed.

Car looks badass without any chrome. I taped the windshield in for the drive to the paint shop, and of course it poored down rain on the drive. The little blue pieces of painters tape are all minor paint flaws for them to fix.

Looks great as is. Keep us posted.

It is a ten footer, but I want to be able to look at it from closer than that! LOL Plus I was tired of picking excess paint off of trim with my fingernail.
