Car P@rn

It may look like a 1969 Torino, but this model kept on being built for a lot longer in Argentina. This is actually a 1981 Fairlane LTD. They couldn't use the Torino name as it was already claimed by Kaiser Argentina who was building the Rambler Classic.

In production down there from 1969-1981, it was one of the costliest cars available, as most people bought smaller cars ( like the Falcon, also made forever). Most had an inline 221 six but for those with a desire for a V8, there's a surprise. Instead of a 302 Windsor, Ford of Argentina was still using the old Y block 292. But in 1971 they revamped it with much better cylinder heads and turned the old 'boat anchor' into a 7000 rpm. performance engine which ripped up the South American race tracks. This particular car above is a 4-speed V8.
