Carb rebuilding

Starting an old High School Hobby, rebuilding carburetors. What have you guys been using 4 gasket remover? I've been using Permatex foaming action gasket remover, however it has become very expensive. Do the carburetor Cleaning Solutions today take care of excess gasket removal? I plan on using Pine-Sol.

Razor blades, sometimes a pick, anything that won't gouge the metal.

I would use acetone plus the razor, maybe a scotch brite pad lightly to finish.

Careful with the pine sol , simple green and similar cleaners , most will change the aluminum color to a dark shade.

I just rebuilt the carb's on my 72 C-10 and 68 Cougar due to crap gas. if they weren't glued together they should peal off and clean up with a razor blade.
