The man's personal story is quite impressive - he built that business literally from the ground up
and has been doing it for several decades now.
That said, he is a mechanic, not a metals or machining expert. He relies on experts in those fields he's had
working relationships with for years for such information, but he knows what works in what he builds and
has his preferences based on that.
You don't see engine build failures with him (unlike for example, "Uncle Tony" - where it seems about
everything he's built lately has failed; then we get videos on excuses of why they did).
im not sure what you meant by uncle tony being a failure.
perhaps you didnt know this, but he has been the leading hemi guy for the magazines for over 20? years.
his " niche " has always been hemis.
recently, hes been getting into the other mopar engines and while its clear hes not a guru on those,
at least hes giving it a go and sharing his experiences with us.
also,i find it disgusting that lunaroutlaw talked so much shite about uncle tony.
that kid shows up w a total pos 318,then accepts a used 318 instead which tony builds in like 2 days.
yes, they missed the bearing clearances..a mistake...but it didnt kill the engine.
lets look at the whole picture.
tony helped this kid before and during this build and the kid threw him under the bus for his Own mistakes.
adding to this,Nick also helps this kid and the kid calls nick constantly.
in other words, this kids eating free lunches wherever he can find them, and then trashing the chef.
