Hey guys, Looking for recommendations on who is the go to guy for quality AFB rebuild/restoration. I would certainly appreciate your recommendations and experiences.

Hey bigorange-426, 2 1/2 years ago I sent my Carter AVS to Dave Wooodruff (Woodruff Carburetor Specialties) advertised here on FBBO. He asked that I also send him my distributor too so that he could put a curve in it as well as the specifics of my car. He rebuilt the carb and curved the distributor and shipped back to me total cost with shipping $389.50. I installed both (marked distributor position prior) then car fired up, choke high idle worked and it ran so good that I never checked point gap (dwell angle) or timing and drove it for 2+ years.

HOWEVER after a while the choke stopped working as good, if you work the throttle a few times without the car running (checking for "squirt" troubleshooting) gas drips from the butterfly rod on driver side and recently I'm not running well. I just swapped complete distributor (new points, condenser, rotor, cap) & new plugs helped but still not running good. Thinking about a brand new carb vs. rebuilding at this point... not sure if I have a fuel, ignition or other issue...!
