I recently picked this up for my hemi build. I'm looking for the Carter carb kits to freshen them up. I also have a Weber carb on my Challenger that needs a going through. Who, and Where does anyone recommend finding these kits ? Any recommendations appreciated, Thanks...

I generally use Standard brand kits and unless pressed for time, I purchase them from Rock Auto.

I got my last kit from Mike's and was very happy with the quality and detailed instructions. Mike's Carburetor Parts
Mikes has good parts and knowledgeable helpful people on the phone. Spend some time on there Web page, tons of good info, but you have to seek it out a bit.

If you buy leather accelerator pump plungers for carters they need to be oiled before installation. A little bit wiped all around it, don't soak it. Then run a dull screwdriver around the insode perimeter on the lip on the leather to make sure it's free. Then the work great.

If you have a check valve for gas to go into accelerator pump well Mikes carb sells them. The check valve are in 66/67 hemi carbs don't think they come in rebuild kits.

I also used Mikes to source rebuild kits and I also purchased tuning kits jets and rods.
Really good well labelled parts and very prompt shipping.
You can use the carb numbers to get the correct parts on the website.

I like Allstate Carburetor over on Long Island..

Original Carter kits come up on Ebay every once in a while. You just need to know what number you need. What are your carb numbers.
