no way no how are those worth that.
only if the buyers an idiot..
ive seen way better Charger projects on the marketplace for Under 10 grand.

and,heres a question for you,dont be offended,its a logical question.
you keep saying how many chargers you have...
so,whats the actual plan?
let them rot until the markets gone and the rest of us are dead?
how does that Save a car and how does it help any other mopar guys??
if they just sit around for the next 20 years until nobody wants them?
im just curious as to your motivations, esp as i watch you redoing the one charger, the 70.

I have sold two similar ones in the last year in that price range, like it or not, thats the current second gen Charger market! I sold three third gens, plus another second gen roller to a friend on the cheap. I have another 71 R/T roller I will be getting ready to sell in the spring. I decided to keep the V code 70 R/T. I still have 5)70 Chargers,3)71 Chargers,1)73 Charger,1)68 Charger, and 1)69 R/T SE Sunroof Charger. I think I have spread the wealth fairly selling off six Charger projects, plus a 68 Satellite convert,a nice 71 383 Satellite, and a 73 Satellite in the last two years. Apparently you have not seen my Daytona stockcar build in the aero car forum? The Chargers I sold were a 68 roller,a 70 R/T roller,a 70 R/T clone with a 440 in it,a 71 383 matching numbers SE,and two 73 SEs one 318 car,the other was a 400 car.

well, thats kind of my point and ty for the kind reply as well.
you still have 8 left and only one you,
plus the 70 you are working on,plus the daytona clone,
plus whatever else you have carwise and truckwise.

logically, the odds of you finishing them all at anytime are ??
thats why i asked --> why not spread the Love,
and now is a great time to make charger money,as you know.

yes,i saw the daytona clone and while i applaud And respect your work,
it doesnt do anything for me bodywise.
i drove one of these and the length and visibility of these cars..well.
to each their own...
im more of a drive them hard and slide them in sideways and you cant do that in a bird or daytona.

i do read a lot of the stuff over on the areo forum, chargerdotcom
just rarely comment esp since the transtestical with the cars thread.
i do Hope someone managed to buy and save Those cars.
ty again for your reply, and im following my dream car as you build it/the 70
its a great thread,i bounce a lot from your car over to Kern Dogs build.
cheers,Rob

I had 28 of them,I think I have 20 now. I have 11 Chargers, two convertible Challengers.one 71 Cuda, one 66 Belevidere, two Little Red Express trucks,a 75 Dodge van,a 96 Indy Ram,and a 69 AMX. I will be selling the 71 Charger R/T roller,as soon as the weather breaks,I will pull it out and get it ready to go. I am working on the convertible Challenger too. There is still more than I can build in my lifetime, which is why I had the white car up forsale. When I pick up a car,I can envision everyone of them done to my liking. I knew I had to downsize,so I sold off nine of my biggest project cars. I bought a 79 LRT,the dodge van,the Daytona stock car,and a rust free 71 Charger R/T from the Arizona desert, that's why I am going to sell the 71 R/T roller.

I was asked about my inventory specifically.that's why I listed them. I'm gonna keep the white car,and cut some others loose that's all.

I don’t see that specific question....stated as a question......

Ah yes, wonderful Socialism: You have too many; you should share the wealth... The rich guy should pay more taxes... etc. I think Barack said it best: "I think at a certain point, you've made enough money"

Well being on the bottom rung of the mopar world. I can only afford the older 66/67 stuff. The 68,69 and 70 b bodies are always out of my range. But if people are willing to pay what they are asking its not the sellers fault. The buyer has to know what they are getting into. So for someone to say you have too many cars and you need to sell them is stupid. I look at it like this. These are more of an investment on his/their part. Like many other things prices go up and down. You would not deposit 30k in the bank then just divide it up with anyone needing money. Thats just stupid. These guys have built collections and deserve the right to sell them as they damn well please. If the buyer is stupid enough to bite into the current "going rates" well, then so be it.

Times change and the days when you could buy THAT SAME CAR for 200.00 are long gone. So get with the times the old days ain't coming back. You can buy a Hyundai for 200.00 now does that make it worth 30k in 40 years? Probably not but for someone looking for that particular car, whether its for parts or restoration and they just have to have it they will pay up.

I agree....it is much better than rotting in a junkyard.....

Just like people telling me that in order for me to “enjoy” my cars. I have to drive them across the States.........very socialist ideas indeed...

The old guy we got the RoadRunner from has a vast collection of mopar parts. I asked him how he gained such a huge lot of parts. He told me that he would spend his weekends out in the junkyards scrounging parts.. Even little stuff like the door lock nobs, nuts, bolts and various other stuff. His basement was like a parts store and everything was labeled and boxed. And I believe his collection could make retirement very nice for him. Now of course I beat him up on some prices and he beat me up on some stuff. But thats all part of the deal and makes it kind of fun.

This was the question,Rob asked if I was going to hoard all the cars until they are junk. I was letting him know, that it's not the case, and that I have sold nine project cars in the last two years, six of which are Chargers. I did buy four of them, but they were all real good buys, that's why I bought them even though am trying to downsize. I am not some rich collector,I work 60 to 80 hours a week,If I want something,I work to get it. I have been building these cars since the late 70s,and unfortunately it is true that most enthuiests have been priced out of the 68 to 70 B body, and 70 to 71 E body market.
