Did you notice even the cam washers are missing on the upper control arm bolts ?
The car is very stripped out for sure
I do have most of the little parts laying around other than the back seat side window stuff is why I was thinking about it
Seller did say he has some room on his asking price
I am afraid to say $7 000 in case he took it :)
Not many Chargers of any shape come up for sale in my area as I have always been looking for another 68 because 68 was the first Charger I ever had
I have a 70 and a 69 here now and a 68 would complete the set but would like to find a better starting point
The last 68 project I went and looked at was $30 k asking price but was in much better shape but was more than I wanted to spend at that time .....

Don't even consider that heap. As bad as it looks in pictures, I guarantee that it'll look much worse in person. That car needs so much that there's barely anything left that is actually usable.

Even if he gave it to you ITs not worth putting money into it. They are out there just keep looking. Found mine 10 miles from my house, was looking for at least 6 years.

I have lots to keep me busy with what I have now but still keep an eye out for a 68 :)

Yeah, I think $10K is ridiculously ambitious on that one. There's a whole lot of missing expensive stuff from that carcass, and not a lot remaining that adds up to even close to $10K as a parts donor car.
Even given the modern trend, that car is worth $4k. $10k is the "let's see if there are any suckers" price.

I guess 165 large wasn't enough.

I think this 1968 Charger R/T may end up qualifying for this thread. Listed on BaT today and zoomed immediately to $68,000+. Looks good outside and underneath but when you start looking at the undercoated hood, undercoated trunk, pitted trim, poor dash, ratty seat belts, non-stock engine compartment (supposedly original engine but who can say), non-stock wiring, etc, not my cup of tea. No telling what this will end up at in 6 more days of bidding.

Yeah there's some fairly clowny aspects .. The engine compartment needs to be gutted and started over. Looks like a diehard chevy guy was trying to figure out what goes where. Good side is alot of original engine parts come with, and the serial #s are on the engine and trans.
