This part of the article "In 1964, the Plymouth Tornado took second place for Radical Custom Design at the Sabers’ Auto Show in Denver" makes it sound more like someone's project rather than a factory effort. I doubt that Plymouth would have plopped on a hood that looks like it came from a 1949 Ford truck.

I believe the one featured is a re-creation of the original concept cars. (I believe 2 were built.) I thought I read somewhere awhile back it was a former Chrysler employee re-creation?
